Smart lamps provide a way to save energy, by recognizing when, where, how much and what kind of light is needed. They therefore have one or multiple sensors and a small microcomputer (ESP8266) which controls light emitting diodes (LED) according to environmental data und the user’s preferences.
The challenge is to build a smart lamp based on your own ideas. The requirements are that the lamp has to use sensors (light, temperature, heat radiation, wind, human gestures) and an ESP8266 (Arduino platform) to make autonomous decisions regarding light colour and intensity. In addition, the light output should be provided high-power- LEDs.
